Our Diary ~ ♥

Ever felt scared to go outside of your own door? Or to come out and say what you really want, to feel comfortable around the people you try to associate with everyday? Maybe even to tell the truth...

This is exactly the way it is with, "The Freedom Writers", a great movie. It starts out with a disruptive class, who act like they have no feelings, concerns, or problems, but it's the exact opposite; every single person in this class has a problem. Eva Benitez hates white people, because she feels they can do whatever they want, because she feels they are capable of everything, and anything to make the blacks miserable. Another has the same feelings against blacks. It's seems horrible; the classroom is even divided up, the whites and the blacks, the nerds, and the big shots.

Things all change, when they get a new teacher; Mrs.Gruwell. She thinks she has something special, and can switch the whole classroom around, however when the school refuses to give her texts because they feel these kids are "impossible", she gets so frustrated, because she believes this is the reason they're not trying, because they know that people don't believe in them, and just look down upon them.

The music really empathizes the movie, gives it feeling. When there's gang fights, there's exactly the right music at the right time, when the kids are frustrated, when they're happy, when they're getting silly .. it has everything, its perfect!

This movie has excellent actors! The main characters of this film are Hilary Swank who plays as Erin, also know as the teacher Mrs.Gruwell , Patrick Dempsey who plays Erin's husband. Some other characters consist of Scott Glen (Erin's Father), Margaret Campbell (Erin's Co-worker), and also April Lee Hernandez (Eva, a student).

I also think there is a very important theme to this movie , and that is "Never give up" and that would be on Mrs.Gruwells part. This is very self explanatory; she never once gave up on these kids, she even went and got two extra jobs to be able to buy them their very own text books, reading books, and also very nice and expensive field trips. Did it all work out in the end, was she able to flip the tables, and turn each and every person around, does the class all come together as one .. watch the movie to find out !

Will they ever make it to the Stone of Dreams ..

I had been looking at the movie reviews for the movie , "Wizards of Waverly Place" . Most of them were pretty dull , and I really could not choose one that really stood out . This is a really great movie , it's always pulling you in , wanting to keep you watching.

However, the movie review i chose was from "kidstvmovies" , and I found they did a fairly well job, about not spoiling the ending. Their last sentence " Unfortunately, if the kids don't succeed in about 48 hours or less, they will disappear forever " , to me really stood out. I think this sentence is really going to make the reader want to watch this movie, they left you wondering if they really are going to make it to the dream of stones or not.

Another thing I liked about this review, was that they kept it short and sweet . They tell you enough , so you know what the movie is based on , but yet they leave you with a hanging conclusion. I would never like to sit and read this huge long movie review, because basically by then you would know how the movie is going to end..

Michaela Jardine

" You're a true friend, you're here until the end, you pull me aside when something isn't right. You talk with me now , and into the night, until it's alright again, you're a true friend."

I have one best friend, she's been with me through everything, she never leaves my side. Her name is Michaela Jardine, she is 14 years old , and comes from a family consisting of her two parents, a fluffy white dog , and 3 other girls. She has medium length brown hair , hazel eyes, glasses; she's very pretty . Michaela has a phenomenal personality; she's constantly laughing, and smiling. This is one of her best traits, it's truly what makes her, who she is.

I would be completely lost without Michaela; she's everything I ever dreamed of having as a best friend. She's trustworthy, honest and loyal. I trust her with everything, and she does the same with me, we never hold back on anything. She's honest and loyal, I've never heard her do anything that I would have never wanted her to do, or say, she's perfect ..

She's a very strong girl , she doesn't care what people think of her , if they don't like her , she'd just sit and laugh at them, before she would let it hurt her. However if someone were to say something that she wouldn't like, she would never ever hold back . But she never gives up, she keeps trying 'till she has what she's wanted .

She's my best friend , and I know I would never be the person I am today if she was never in my life , we have so many memories , and inside jokes , i really just dont know what I would or could ever do without her !

~ Love you tons ! Don't ever change , you're perfect just the way you are ~

A Hobo's Dream !

I wish someone would help me, or take me home; I never imagined being where I am today , it's a disgrace. I live on cement floors, with old torn up blankets that people throw at me now and then. There's all kinds of critters and creatures. I have no heat, it just constantly snows all the time, and all you ever smell is the fire burning , the dumps , and the rubber from the teenagers squealing their tires.

I can remember having a beautiful home and family but that's a wasteful memory now ... It all happened on a snowy winter day. I went to the store for some milk, while my kids and husband rested at home. I really enjoy going for walks, so I'm always the one out on the go, and as I'm walking I hit a slippery patch of ice. I tumbled to the ground, my head hitting first. I don't remember anything after that, and when I woke up I was here, in this old raggedy spot.

I really want to go home, if I could remember exactly where it was, I wonder if my family even worries or wonders where I am. I'm sick of this place, everybody walking by pointing and making fun, if they only knew what it felt like to have a beautiful home and family one day, and then shattered cement floors , and raggedy blankets, left with nothing the next .

" Mom, wake up, mom we're hungry". As I opened my eyes, I was overwhelemed, full of joy, and as excited as a person could get. I grabbed my kids and hugged them, and kissed them until they finally asked why I was doing this. My answer left them curious, and clueless, but it was all I had to say . . .
